As Managing Director, Wade Carter actively manages and expands the company’s clientele base, ensuring essential correspondence is kept between Universal Sheetmetal and their clients. Providing crucial direction for the business and its employees, Wade Carter coordinates a team over over 100 individuals with the assistance of an irreplaceable managerial board. As a fully accredited tradesperson and project manager, Wade also completes frequent site visits, project consultations, defect control and work analysis.
John Dickson - Factory & Production Manager
Working with Universal Sheetmetal since 1996, Factory & Production Manager John Dickson directs both Southport manufacturing facilities in Olympic Circuit. As a skilled sheet metal worker with extensive trade experience, John leads a team of up to 20 qualified workers each day. Having to oversee and guide the local production line, both manual and automative manufacturing, product deliveries and tradespeople, he is the crucial link between management and labourers that our business demands.
Loralie McCartney - Office Manager & Head of Accounts
As Office Manager and Head of Accounts, Loralie McCartney completes all of Universal Sheetmetal’s business and administration duties, such as wages, office management, accountancy work, clerical administration and client liaising. Having an accountancy and taxation background, with an advanced diploma in accounting, Loralie also assists our staff with salary and superannuation needs, a crucial task that can only be completed by such an experienced member of our team.
Gary Burge - Project Manager
A qualified and trained sheet metal worker, Gary Burge is Universal Sheetmetal’s Project Manager. Working within the company for over 10 years, Gary ensures the completion of job quoting, site measurements, and material orders, whilst also meeting the needs of installers. Originally from Sydney and completing his apprenticeship in 1979, he also provides assistance with surveying, invoicing and regular site inspections. Depending on each project, Gary will lead a team of up to 8 tradespeople on any given day.
